Heritage Land Surveying was founded in

2007 by J. Boone Haynes, PLS 8358. Boone

came to Sonoma County with the desire to build a

small professional firm that provided Land

Surveying Services for the people of Sonoma

County and outlying areas. 

  Utilizing todays rapidly growing technology,

coupled with generations of  experience, our Land

Surveyors will always have the necessary tools to

meet the ever changing clients needs, from

construction sites to rural residential lands, in

order to complete the project in a timely and

professional manner.

  As a small firm we ensure the best quality of

work by having a Licensed Land Surveyor

involved with every calculation, hour of drafting,

construction stake set, distance measured, angle

turned, legal description written, and etc… We

believe this is an important aspect of our service

that separates us from other firms.

    Surveying is one of the oldest professions in the universe:  everywhere man wants to claim property, there needs to be clarity about “where mine ends and yours starts.”  Land survey techniques have advanced over the last hundred years to allow a great degree of precision.
    Surveying has played an important role in the history of mankind from the Egyptians stretching ropes to survey and layout the pyramids to Lewis and Clark mapping the west. Even some of the founding fathers of the United States such as Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were both land surveyors, as were American originals Henry David Thoreau and Daniel Boone.                                   Today surveyors are trained, certified and licensed by the state. They not only follow the footsteps of the previous surveyors they also create new parcels of land via the use of highly technical equipment such as GPS.  J. Boone Haynes, Owner of Heritage Land Surveying and his team are proud to continue in such an honorable profession and can handle most any tricky situation that comes up with accuracy and diplomacy.
